Metallurgist Day'2020 at CMK

Every year on the third Sunday of July, a professional holiday – the Metallurgist Day – is celebrated in Russia. This holiday traces its history back to Soviet times; it was first established by a decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Council of the USSR on September 28, 1957.
CMK held festive events dedicated to the professional holiday. Metallurgist Day Award List 2020 includes more than 180 engineers and workers of the company. They are very different people - both in age and in their official duties, but united by their attitude to work. And on this high day, we pay thanks to the wonderful employees of the enterprise for their loyalty to their chosen cause, for their talent, for their skilful hands and for their commitment to the enterprise.
- Metallurgist Day is a great opportunity to sum up the results of our work, to celebrate and reward worthy employees of the enterprise – said Deputy General Director - Director on technical development Sergey Kononov, – and to create a joyful mood for metallurgists of Stupino.
The metallurgists were congratulated by the head of the Stupino town district Vera Nazarova, the Chairman of the district Council of deputies, the Secretary of the local branch of the United Russia Party Pavel Chelpan, the Member of the Moscow regional Duma Andrey Golubev and General Director of CMK Vitaliy Shmelev, furthermore the Minister of industry and trade of the Russian Federation Denis Manturov, the head of the LDPR Vladimir Zhirinovsky and partners of the company sent their congratulations to CMK.
The most significant event of this day was the raising of CMK flag on Honour Alley. Throughout the holiday week, it will be waving in the town center, elating employees and citizens for the town-forming enterprise.
General Director of CMK Vitaliy Shmelev said – On this professional day, we express our profound gratitude to those who have chosen this profession, have been working for many years, and is contributing to the work and development of the enterprise. The profession of metallurgist has always been an honorable one, but at the same time difficult. The person who chose it must have professional knowledge, skills, courage, daring and love for the work. Metallurgy is the foundation for the development of other industries and the economy as a whole. The progress sets new challenges for us, and we are ready to meet them."
– CMK is the pride of Stupino area, the whole history associated with the enterprise is a history of victories, – Vera Nazarova said. – Great and talented people still work at this enterprise. Even in the most difficult situation the company manages to keep up with the time, mobilize itself and improve. Of course, the management plays the great part in it, but the entire team, all the people who have given many years of work, are no strangers to the great calling of Metallurgist. I wish the metallurgical company stable work and good results!
"Metallurgist Day is a celebration of those whose work is the mainstay of production processes. No leading enterprise of the modern economy can do without the proper contribution of metallurgists," said Andrey Golubev. "This is a celebration of families and labour dynasties - all those who have associated themselves with metallurgy."
The festive mood was supported by the performance of Stupino Philharmonic artists, who performed several musical compositions as a gift.
