The All-Russia Day of sportsman was celebrated in Stupino. At “Metallurg” stadium, the participants were expected to compete in various sports.
Before the start of the competition, the head of Stupino town district Vera Nazarova, the chairman of the district council of deputies Pavel Chelpan, the deputy of Moscow Regional Duma Andrey Golubev and on behalf of CMK management Viktor Kalugin made congratulatory speeches.
- I sincerely congratulate you on the bright, beautiful summer holiday, - said Nazarova. - We have been waiting for a very long time for the opportunity to hold public events, and this competition is the first such event. We are ready to compete, fight, and most importantly, prove that Stupino chooses health!
The guests of the festival were cheered up by morning exercises with people who brought up athletes participating at the Olympic games-80 - honored athletes, coaches and veterans of Stupino sports Vitaly Chataladze and Viktor Averyanov. After that, the organizers paid tribute to honored sports figures and veterans. The head of the district also handed over the Golden GTO emblems to those who met the standards for "excellent". The award ceremony was accompanied by performances of on-stage and sports teams.
"The most important value for each person is health, so the company's management pays great attention to promoting a healthy lifestyle for CMK employees, including participation in sports events of various levels," said Viktor Kalugin. "This sports festival has contributed not only to the physical development, but also to the moral training of employees, the ability to behave correctly with the opponent, empathize for teammates, be happy and upset for good luck and mistakes, get positive emotions, and unite employees with common goals."
CMK team took an active part in all types of competitions. 45 employees passed all the stages with dignity. The competition program included traditional disciplines – tug-of-war, mini-football, volleyball, streetball, ping-pong, as well as multidiscipline competition of the all-Russia GTO complex.
The" intellectual " component of the holiday included chess and draughts battles. Fans of gambits and endgames took part in a simultaneous game session, which was held by the strongest chess players.
The most exciting part was the tug-of-war. This discipline, at first glance, seems very simple. But the metallurgists took the hit of the challenge of this competition. It was necessary to show your strength, will, dexterity and even cunning. As soon as the judges announced the start of the competition, CMK athletes immediately went to the site to fight the opponent. Looking at their resistance, you understand, after all, there is something phenomenal in this sport that can not only captivate fans who are waiting for their team to win, but also make them crazy, to root for their athletes not sparing their voices, emotionally feeling vicissitudes of a difficult struggle. In this most spectacular competition of the powerful, strong and stubborn, our team won the honorable third place.
According to the results of the competition, CMK team became the best in the field of sports among industrial enterprises.
