CMK celebrates Constructor’s Day

The construction workshop of CMK is indeed the oldest department at the plant. Metallurgist-constructors laid the foundation, erected the walls of the first workshops, they trenched, installed furnaces and hammers, took direct part in realization of company departments modernization programmes and renewal of building facades, ensured quality improvement of social working conditions.

CMK constructors built not only the company departments but also a lot of erections in Stupino: dwelling houses, nursery and daycare facilities, schools, stores, medical institutions, sports culture and leisure facilities. CMK had built 95% of Stupino infrastructure from 1935 to 2000.

Quality, longevity and strength are the main characteristics of such a profession as constructor. It is highly valued not only because of creative thinking but continuous material and working methods improvement. Today CMK constructors maintain glorious traditions of the enterprise founders and provide a basis for stable development of the company.
