The Main Holiday of Metallurgists

The solemn and festive Metallurgist's Day was remembered by bright events, high awards and a great mood. The morning of July 14 began with the ceremony of laying flowers to the bust of G.V. Viziryan and honoring the best employees of the company.

On the square near the bust of Gurgen Vartanovich Viziryan, the founder of the city and the plant, as well as the first director of Plant No. 150 and honorable citizen of Stupino, representatives of all departments of the company gathered.

Vitaly Petrovich Shmelev, CMK Director General, congratulated the staff on the professional holiday, thanking them for their fruitful and creative labor. Dmitry Viktorovich Mikhailov, Production Director, noted the successes achieved by the company in the first half of 2023. The best workers were given deserved awards and thanks.

Flowers were laid to the bronze bust of G.V. Viziryan as a tribute to the memory of the pioneers of CMK. Soloists of the Stupino Philharmonic Society Ivan Zhagrenkov, Yulia Sapronova and the creative team "Rainbow of Dance" performed before the participants of the ceremony.

The celebration continued at the Palace of Culture. The main participants of the event were the best employees and veterans of CMK. Organization of the celebration was thought out to the smallest detail, thanks to which metallurgists were offered many pleasant surprises. For example, a branded press-wall was set up in front of the hall entrance, where everyone could be photographed.

The gala evening in the big hall of the Palace of Culture was opened by a mesmerizing performance of the choreographic group "Rainbow of Dance".

V.P. Shmelev, CMK Director General, addressed the participants with a welcoming speech. He told about the latest achievements of the company and key areas of the team work.

Metallurgists are representatives of a hard but honorable profession, addressed the audience Deputy Mayor of Stupino S.V. Tsapova:

- During the war, Stupino workers made a labor feat, and the fact that our city was awarded the high title "City of Labor Valor" is their merit. I wish your company prosperity, stability, development, and to each of you - health, peaceful sky and financial well-being, - said Svetlana Vladimirovna.

As A.N. Sukhachev, Chairman of the Stupino City Council of Deputies, noted, Metallurgist's Day is a special holiday for the city as the city grew from Elektrovozstroy plant, which was later transformed into an industrial complex in 1940. And the whole legendary history of the plant is inextricably linked with the city. Outstanding designers, engineers, scientists, production organizers worked at CMK. The city was actually built by metallurgists, and we are talking not only about housing, but also about health care, education, culture, sports and recreation facilities.

- Today we pay tribute to the previous generations of metallurgists, veterans of the industry. Their often heroic labor created the foundation on which CMK is developing today. Priorities have been correctly prioritized, the Company is moving forward with confidence and has a good future. I wish you to continue the glorious labor traditions, set ambitious goals, and remember that the main thing is a man of labor: his experience, knowledge and skills, - said Alexander Nikolayevich.

The best representatives of the industry were given well-deserved awards. The concert program was presented by “Bohemia“ cover band, saxophonist Roman Kolganov and violinist Margarita Votchel, and “Rainbow of Dance» choreographic group. The final chord of the evening was the performance of People's Artist of the Russian Federation Alexander Serov. He performed well-known compositions, which were warmly welcomed by the audience.
