Excursion at The Stupino Local History Museum

The Stupino Local History Museum opened the exposition "Stupino - the City of Labor Valor" dedicated to the 85th anniversary of the city. It covers the period from the founding of Stupino to the present day. The exhibits presented make it possible to trace the whole chain of formation of the town-forming metallurgical enterprise, and together with it the town of Stupino, to see its immortalized military and labor feats, achievements of Stupino residents during the Great Patriotic War.

In the exhibition halls there are many photos, documents, authentic letters and things that clearly show various spheres of life in those years. In September, a delegation of CMK metallurgists visited the Stupino Local History Museum and enjoyed the new exposition. As the guide of the Stupino Local History Museum Daria Shershneva noted, a part of the exhibits presented at the exhibition were transferred to the museum for temporary storage by the Stupino Metallurgical Company to be exhibited in the hall of the city history. These are important archival documents, photographs, samples of products manufactured by CMK in different periods of its history. The transfer of the exhibits was made for the city residents and its guests to have a freer access to the museum items of CMK, which are included in the museum fund of the metallurgical company.

- The exhibits took an important place in the exhibition space of the museum, - says Daria Viktorovna, - as they reflect the history of CMK development and the cityof Stupino in parallel, tell about their creators, outstanding engineers, builders, heroes of the Great Patriotic War, who worked at the enterprise. After all, it was thanks to metallurgists that the city of Stupino appeared, which celebrated its 85th anniversary in September. And today I had the honorable mission to present the exposition to the employees of CMK. The delegation of metallurgists included representatives of various divisions of the enterprise, for whom the excursion became a cognitive immersion into the history of creation, formation, development of the Company and the town. Some of them came to the museum with their children, who listened to the guide and looked at the exhibits with genuine interest.

According to Maria Putilina, a laboratory technician for physical and mechanical tests at Shop No. 430, the excursion was rich and deep. The visitors of the museum were able to get acquainted with the founders of the enterprise, who on their shoulders raised and multiplied its achievements. According to the visitors of the exposition, the exhibition will be interesting not only for adults, but also for children, and the fascinating story of the guide will allow to plunge into different periods of Stupino's history and feel the spirit of time and metallurgical progress for almost 90 years.
