New Year's QUIZ

On the eve of the New Year, the employees of CMK hosted an intellectual game "QUIZ, PLEASE!", which once again demonstrated the team spirit of metallurgists, their will to win, erudition and creativity.

The organizers of the game say they are always happy to be involved in the events of Stupino Metallurgical Company, because they are attended by energetic, positive people who always prepare for themed evenings to the maximum and think out the program to the last detail.

The New Year's intellectual competition was attended by 18 teams, including representatives of various CMK subdivisions and a team from the Stupino branch of the MAI (Moscow Aviation Institute). The event was organized by the Youth and Sports Council of CMK, however, no age limits were set for the participants of "QUIZ, PLEASE!". Therefore, along with young employees, knowledge and logical abilities could be demonstrated by their more experienced colleagues.

Many teams tried to reflect the atmosphere of the approaching holiday not only in the name, but also in the appearance of the participants. In their opinion, the most colorful was the team from Shop No. 580 "Gifts, but not under the Christmas tree".

The players of "QUIZ, PLEASE!" were welcomed by Sergey Kononov, Deputy General Director - Director for Technical Development, and Victor Bukin, Chairman of CMK Trade Union Organization. They wished everyone good luck and worthy competition.

To make the joy of victory felt by as many participants as possible, the conditions of the QUIZ were slightly changed: the teams were divided into three groups, for each of which there were three prizes. In addition, all the participants received well-deserved diplomas and memorable prizes, and a lottery was held.

The game lasted for more than two hours. The teams were offered logic questions requiring knowledge from various spheres, thematic tasks on cinema, music, sports, geography, art, literature... The teams showed all-round erudition, so they all reached the finals with a minimal gap between each other.

At the end of the intellectual battle, the organizers began to count the points. The players could not take away the understandable excitement: despite the fact that there were three times as many winners in the game this time, everyone was curious to know the name of the team that had become the undisputed leader.

Finally, the solemn moment of awarding came. In the first group, the third place was taken by a team from the Legal Department of Shop No. 960 named "Will you take peas?". "Silver" was won by the team of shop No. 001 "The first head of Gorynych". The winner was the team of the procurement department " Yolki-Palki".

In the second group "bronze" went to the team of shops № 260 and № 430 "Jingle Balls", the second place was taken by representatives of shop № 530 "Snowflake and 7 snowdrops", the first prize was taken by the team "Herring under a fur coat".

In the third group "bronze" was awarded to the team of the sales department "NovoGODnyaya rasPROdazha", the second place - to the team of shop No. 510 "uKUSHu under the Christmas tree", and the first place - to the team of the departments of the chief smelter, chief metallurgist, powder metallurgy, chief technologist, chief blacksmith - "New Year's crew". The same team became the undisputed champion of the New Year's "QUIZ, PLEASE!", to whom the applause of all present was addressed.
